We encourage everyone to come dressed in 50's and 60's attire. We start dancing early in the evening and enjoy performances from some of the best dancers in the US & Canada scattered throughout the night. Masters competition will be held during the evening (an event not to miss)l. This night is about you enjoying your dancing. Please note we intertwine the performances/comp during the evening--so you may enjoy dancing throughout the evening...there will be plenty of general dancing!
Oh, by the way...........start practicing dances from the 50's and 60's! Some surprise Sock Hop fun with Great Prizes!
We will offer Two Step, Night Club and West Coast Swing in both social/beginner and social intermediate/advanced divisions.
We want you to have an absolute blast at the New England Dance Festival! So we are offering several social competitions that are just fun! No rules, no costumes... just pure fun! Start practicing and strut your stuff. Tell all your friends because the more of you the merrier. Fun prizes will be awarded.
Ask your favorite social dance partner to dance or have a different partner for each dance! . Please note that no competitive couples are allowed.
Jack & Jill Competitions
We will offer WSDC jack and Jill competitions. This is a great chance to get those extra points you need for Summer Hummer!
Swing Dancers you only need a Saturday full evening pass, or Saturday Full Day/Evening Pass ore a weekend pass! So you can choose what option is best for you,
The West Coast Swing Jack & Jill will be run using World Swing Dance Council rules and regulations. We will be offering the following divisions:
- Newcomer
- Novice (10+ Newcomer Points)
- Intermediate (20+ Novice Points)
- Advanced (25+ Intermediate Points)
- All Star
Note - the event will use the online points registry to validate competitors divisions.

We will offer a Two Step Jack & Jill
The Two Step Jack & Jill will have two divisions, Newcomer/Novice and Intermediate/Advanced. Definitely lots of fun. Always a great event!
Line Dance
Line dancers... We welcome you to join us for a great weekend of line dancing. We are offering the social line dancer a weekend of great workshops with some of your favorite instructors. Tina Foster will be our line dance coordinator.The line dance room is large with a 1400 sq foot floor. Ask those who came last year, the line room has a great floor and everyone had fun and felt they were well taken care of.
Pro-Am Swing & Hustle Competition
Come and and strut your stuff with your Instructor in the Pro-Am Swing and Hustle competition. Lots of fun, start practicing today!
The Pro-Am Swing and Hustle events are on Saturday afternoon. So come dance with your Instructor in the afternoon and get those WSDC points at night! What could be ore fun!
UCWDC Competition
We are offering all the standard UCWDC competitions in both Pro-Am, Couples and Line. If you would like to compete and you are new to dancing see your teacher about the beginner syllabus category. It is easy and is a great way to get acquainted with how fun UCWDC competition can be. If you have been dancing country but have never competed join us in the newcomer division. This division is a great place to start if you have never competed but are passed the brand new dancer stage. Don't forge, competition can also serve as a great way to set goals to improve your dancing. All rules for the UCWDC events can be found on line a www.ucwdc.org.
Please note: All UCWDC contestants must have either an associate membership or a one day membership. You may register on line at www.ucwdc.org. The reason is that in the event you wish to compete at the World Championships in Orlando Florida in January, you must have danced at three events throughout the year. This can only be tracked if everyone is a member.
Also note : when registering for a one day membership we strongly urger you to register for the $ 5.00 one day pass. If you decide to go to worlds this event will be counted towards worlds. .
Already compete in ballroom competitions? Or do you dance ballroom and would like to compete with us? You already know 4 of the dances: Waltz, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing and West Coast Swing. These are just danced to country music instead of ballroom music. There are 4 dances which are completely different: Triple Two Step, Two Step, Night Club 2 Step and Polka. These are clearly signature dances of the country. Take advantage of another opportunity to have fun with dances you already know and add a two step!
Pro-Am teachers we will have a top teacher purse of $ 2000.00. As always this will be increased if the pro am entries warrant!

West Coast Strictly Swing Competition
Find a partner and register for our Strictly Swing competition! We will be offering the following divisions:
- Newcomer
- Novice
- Intermediate
- Advanced
Couples must consist of one man and one woman Just grab a partner, come out and dance. Dancers will dance for approximately 2 minutes in a heated format to music selected by the event. No competitive partnerships allowed.
West Coast Swing Room
Come join us in the Swing Room.... US Open Swing Champion Robert Cordoba will be our swing host. Plan to attend his workshops.... they are AWESOME! WSDC points and dancing all night long all weekend! Ask your friends, everyone had a blast last year!
